Volunteer Opportunities

Meals on Wheels Volunteers....

…..work as part of a team to encourage seniors to live independently
with dignity and joy.

Meals on Wheels Driver

  • The Elder Nutrition Program (ENP) at BayPath Elder Services offers a rich and rewarding volunteer opportunity. Our volunteers deliver meals to homebound seniors over 60 years of age in our service area. This meal delivery provides a nourishing meal, a “wellness check”, and a friendly face for the senior on a daily basis. Your own transportation and insurance is required.

Meals on Wheels Kitchen Assistant

  • The ENP also offers a volunteer opportunity as a kitchen assistant at the meals on wheels site kitchen. Working under the direction of the site manager, volunteers assist in the packaging of cold and hot foods for delivery to meal recipients. Sanitation training is provided.

The amount of time you commit to volunteering is up to you. It could be 1 hour a day, 1 hour a week, 1 hour a month, or more. Training for both positions is provided by the BayPath ENP staff*
